Parking
If you are looking for Dubai Tram parking there is currently only one dedicated parking area for users of the Dubai Tram and that is at the Palm Gateway. The parking area is on level 3 of the building that houses the Palm Monorail. Recently more levels of the parking lot have been opened so you can also use those.
How to Get There
In order to get to the parking area you need to drive along Al Sufouh Road as if you were driving on to the Palm. At the last minute before you turn right onto the Palm you should stay in the left hand lane and the parking entrance is about 50 yards further on (maybe not even that far). The entrance is still a bit of a building site so you may wonder where you are going but it is signposted so just follow the signs.
Keep going up to level 3 and at one end of that parking area you will find the entrance to the Palm Monorail and the other end is the entrance to the Tram (well at least the walkway). You may have to find a space on another level however.
The Tram end of the car park can be well used so you may not be able to park that close to the Tram entrance if you arrive later in the day.
Once you have parked up you need to follow the walkway that leads out of the car park and across the road to where the tram stops. It is only a couple of minutes walk but there is a short section where you will need to walk outside. There are lifts available for those unable to use the stairs.
Look out for parking charges at the car park.
There may be other parking areas around JBR and the Marina but these are often busy. The tram was intended for use by those living in those areas (or coming in from further afield) and so it was expected that they could walk to a tram stop.
The parking is being developed so there may be changes to access as other areas are built on.

Hi Janus, yes you can wonder round the area looking out to sea and there are some areas of the hotel that you can go in to if you want to. You can also hire bikes to ride along the seafront path at the top of the Palm.

Hey,
What is the exactly adress of the parking area you mentioned in your article?
Thank you!
admin
Hi Karl, there are no addresses as such in Dubai but the description of the parking is above – it is right at the start of the Palm.

Hi,
What are the timings for this car park?
Is it free 24*7 ?
admin
Yes I believe it is but I think this is likely to change in the future when the mall is opened up there.

HI. Is the parking free? And also, will it get full in the evenings? Thanks
admin
Yes the parking is free and it seems to get more busy during the day when possibly people are using it to commute to work

Hi
I just wanted to point out that the parking is not free at this location. I found out the hard way by receiving a hefty parking fine of 500 AED last week.
admin
Hi, yes it looked like they were going to introduce charges at some point so it sounds like that has been done.
