New Year’s Eve 2017

The RTA has announced the the Dubai Tram will run continuously throughout the night of 31st December so that revellers around the area are able to travel smoothly before and after the New Year celebrations.

A number of areas around Dubai are going to be very busy and so there is going to be extra public transport laid on to help ease the congestion. 

Taking public transport at New Year can really help to stop the massive traffic jams that have been a feature of Dubai in the past.

The tram will therefore run from the start of service on Sunday 31st December – which is 6am – and will not stop until 1am on Tuesday 2nd January. 

The metro and buses will also be operating for longer hours with the exception being Burj Khalifa Metro station which will be closed from 10pm (you can find further information here).

The Palm Monorail does not generally change its operating hours (it shuts at 10pm) so if you want to travel to Atlantis you will need to get there in good time and possibly get a taxi back.
