Final Testing of the Trams Underway

So the final testing of the Dubai trams is underway and will be ongoing for the next 3 months. It is hard to believe that the completion of the first phase of the Dubai Tram is nearly here. It seems such a long time ago that it was announced and I set up this website. Even after that the work was put on hold during the financial crises and the state of the roads down at JBR was a bit of a nightmare to say the least, with many people not expecting the tram system ever to be finished!

Now the start date is nearly here and in November the first trams will be running for 20 hours a day from 5am until 1am. Will it be as big a success as the Dubai Metro? There is no reason to think that it won’t be, because a lot of money, planning and effort has gone into making the system a state of the art one that will link in with the already high profile and world class Metro system.
